Collimation is not quite perfect but will spend more time on this aspect later. This is the first Deep Sky image since the telescope was dismouted for observatory repairs. NGC6946_LRGBf.jpg
NGC6946_LRGBf.jpgSpiral Galaxy on the Cygnus/Cepheus border0 viewsAlmost overhead in October, the Galaxy NGC 6946 appears in a rich star field not far from the open cluster NGC 6939 which is easier to find. The Galaxy is a more difficult object to image in RGB owing to its low intensity. This image was taken in varying seeing conditions, there was some cloud and the Moon was rising. Total exposure 30 minutesTim Haymes
